Our Background

Vuka Afrika is an Entertainment and Communication Organisation working at the intersection of art, technology and human development. Vuka Afrika specializes in the production of communication for development products and facilitating the creation of spaces for social mobilization for the advancement of communities. We believe communities can and have the ability to reflect on and overcome their own challenges without prescriptions but support of their own home-grown solutions.

Selected Assignments we are proud of

Arts-based intervention to psychosocially support trauma healing through theatre and engagement for survivors of Cyclone IDAI in Manicaland, Zimbabwe

Vuka Afrika coordinated RCCE arts-based activities in collaboration with urban councils in Matabeleland South.

With support from the Culture Fund of Zimbabwe Vuka Afrika coordinated the training of 8 theatre groups in 4 provinces to develop their capacity to engage with the online spaces effectively responsibly, safely and profitably.
